Frequent Asked Questions
How it Works
How does the water purifier work?
Municipal (DAWASA) or borehole water enters the purifier through the inlet pipe and passes through several filtration stages:
- Sediment Filter: Removes large particles like sand, silt, and organic materials.
- Pre-Carbon Filter: Adsorbs chlorine and dissolved gases that cause bad odor and taste.
- Reverse Osmosis Membrane: Removes heavy metals (e.g., iron, lead), bacteria, viruses, minerals, and pesticides.
- Post-Carbon Filter: Acts as a polisher to remove any remaining odors and tastes.
- UV Lamp: Kills harmful microorganisms before the water is stored in the internal tank.
How can I ensure the quality of the purified water?
- Keep the area around the purifier clean
- Flush the reserve tank regularly
- Change filters and membranes every 6 months (or as needed)
- Use approved water sources only to avoid compromising input quality
What is TDS and why is it important?
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) measures the concentration of minerals in the water. Maintaining optimal TDS ensures water is healthy:
- Too low → lacks essential minerals
- Too high → may cause buildup
Usage & Storage
What if raw water quality changes?
Aquatec’s filtration ensures gradual adaptation to water changes. If there’s unusual taste or smell, contact our technical team for an inspection of the purifier and source water.
How long does the purifier store water in case of outage?
- CP910: 14L (Cold: 3L, Hot: 3L, Reserve: 8L)
- Eevo: 70L (Cold: 35L, Ambient: 35L)
Leasing & Purchase
How does the leasing plan work?
Our leasing option includes:
- A fixed monthly lease cost that covers:
- Maintenance and filter changes every 6 months
- FREE installation (within 5 meters of water source)
- Monthly water test reports
Can I purchase the purifier instead of leasing?
Yes, we offer outright purchase options. Buyers are advised to avail our AMC (annual maintenance contract) which includes regular service visits and water testing.
Backup & Support
Is bottled water included during water outages?
No. Bottled water during supply interruptions is available at an extra cost, and is not included in monthly leasing charges.
What is the backup plan for prolonged water shortages?
For extended outages, clients can purchase bottled water from Kisima Pure Drinking Water to maintain supply.
Are spare parts included in leasing charges?
- Purchased Units: Covered by a 6 months – manufacturer’s warranty (excludes filters/membranes). Consumables can be purchased from us at competitive prices.
- Leased Units: All spare parts and consumables are included. Filters and membranes are replaced every 6 months as per fair-use policy.
Are the purifiers energy efficient?
Yes. Our purifiers use advanced UVC-LED technology, ensuring energy efficiency and effective sterilization.
What should I do if the purifier stops working?
Check the water supply and inlet connection. If the issue continues, contact our support team for assistance and on-site servicing.
